Is anyone able to get Hugin running in El Capitan... Every time I try to launch it it just hangs with the UI open and then it needs to be force quit.

Looking in my console log I see this information.

4/5/16 10:32:57.642 AM Hugin[21329]: WARNING: The Gestalt selector gestaltSystemVersion is returning 10.9.4 instead of 10.11.4. This is not a bug in Gestalt -- it is a documented limitation. Use NSProcessInfo's operatingSystemVersion property to get correct system version number.

Any thoughts?

Hy Steve.

I’m running Hugin (2014.0.0 built by Matthieu DESILE) on OS X 10.11.4 without too many problems.
The only problem I’ve been running into lately is that I cannot delete any masks which have been drawn.
But I’m still investigating that issue a bit.

This is how I fixed it. download version 2013 and run it. Once it opens close the preview window and select the expert interface. Quit and open the previously downloaded and instaled 2014 version. This worked for me.

I had exactly the same problem with it popping a message about
atos and then hanging indefinitely, and Sukima's tip solved the
problem for me on OS X El Capitan 10.11.4

Hi

Sukima's tip is indeed a huge improvent as it allows to run Hugin itself and
perform all steps up to .pto file creation. However PtBatcher then starts,
asks for output file prefix and then hangs forever.
I could not find any relevant log message.

Running 'up to date' El Capitan 10.11.4, wit a few Macports but
not much else in the way of extras.

Anyone else got to this point, or better further i.e. successfully stitched?

I’m running Hugin (2016.1.0. built by Niklas Mischkulnig) on OS X 10.11.14 and can do pano stitches okay. I just tested one with 18 images in 6 stacks of 3 HDR without any problems.
