PTBatcher deprecated, how to work around this?

Thank you for this great software :-)

I wrote a small script, which worked will on Ubuntu 14, now I switched to Ubuntu 16.04 and the tool PTBatcher is gone :-(

I used it like this:

PTBatcher
-a foo.pto -o foo.tiff
PTBatcher -b

How can I work around this, and create foo.tiff in batch processing (non interactive)?

You should have PTbatcherGUI, which I think works pretty much the same.
Have a look for this...try 'man PTbatcherGUI'

Yes, it works, PTbatcherGUI can be used, too. Thank you.
