Problems with Hugin 2016.2 rc 1.

I've just built rc1 on FreeBSD, and I've run into some issues testing
it. When I start, I get these messages on the xterm:

It's possible that this is behind a number of issues I have had,
mainly with the fast panorama preview. If anybody recognizes these
messages and can point me to the solution, I'd be grateful. Otherwise
does anybody have a Microsoft package ("Windows" 7) that I can use to
test the same images?
