Hello,
testing the EV settings problem I just experienced a problem again that
bugs me for quite some time already:

When I open an existing project, e.g. one that the assistant has just
finished, and the first thing I do after opening is opening the preview
window: hugin hangs and I have to force quit.
If I open it again and optimize it before opening the preview it doesn't
crash.
(In this specific case it was the first time that optimizing after
opening was not a cure, I simply couldn't make the preview open.)
Happens with some projects reproducibly, with other projects it doesn't.

Win 7 SP1 64bit with hugin 2015.0.0, but I had the problem with 2014 as
well. I'm not sure whether I had it on my previous Win XP box, but I
believe I did.
The UI I use is the expert UI in German.
I haven't figured out any rule, like size, image count, or projection.
My panoramas are usually hand-held partial panoramas between 2 and 20
jpg images of 12 Mpx.

Best regards
Joachim

When you view the fast preview in expert, what mode is the over view in? A while back I was having problems with hugin crashing when loading a file and figured out it was caused by the overview mode on the fast preview being set on Mosaic Plane. I switched it to Panosphere and have never had the problem again. (I thought I reported it at the time, but if I did, I did not follow up to see if it was fixed.)

I don't use the overview at all, the overview window is switched off.
