Michael Herf did an interesting teardown on a Philips Hue bulb: LINK
Based on this teardown, how much would you say are the production costs for this product?
I imagine that Philips does quite a substantial margin on this bulb.

Creating software is not for free. Same thing for marking or taking risk in new products.
