Aloha!
There is an opportunity for a student programmer in the TASI program in SSRI. If you know of anyone interest please have them get in touch with Christina.

Thanks,
Burt

Hi Christina,
Good to hear from you. Let me put the word out and see what we can come up with. When does this start and how long is the job for?

Thanks,
Burt

Hi Burt!

Christina Higa from the University of Hawaii.  Hope you are having a great summer...enjoy watching your morning sunrise run photos - always makes me think I should exercise too.

I'm writing to find out if you know any graduate or undergraduate students that might be interested in a job at the Telecommunications and Social Informatics Research Program (TASI) as a student programmer.  We are looking for someone with relational database experience, however we also work with MUMPS but we understand it might be difficult to find someone with MUMPS experience.  The work involves health care, electronic health records, and health information exchange.

We are looking for two motivated students.  I thought with all of your connections you might have some leads.  I've copied Kaina Lingaton (956-8850), our Senior ICT Specialist that they would report to and he can answer the more technical questions.  Our Director is Dr. Norman H. Okamura.  We have a small team and great projects in Hawaii and the Pacific Islands.

Please feel free to forward this message to those that might be interested or know anyone that fits the description.  My contact numbers are listed below.  Thank you for your help.

Aloha,
Christina
