I don't have official membership yet. Need to get on that since I've just been lurking the distro.
But I don't want this to lose momentum, I'd be willing to lead something like soldering, or coding.
I'd really be interested in learning the 3d printer.

I'm going to get a membership for my daughter and I and her mom if I can get her interested in the 3-D printer too. Her interest is mostly sculpture. She has done a lot of work in Second Life, so I got her some Perl books to start her thinking about format conversions. Can you point me to an organized list of *-to-thingomatic format converters or start one if there isn't one writable somewhere yet please?
I promised her I would stop by to discuss 3-D mice, air mice, and finger sensors.
That might be today, but it might not. She just got a 2-D drawing tablet and she's starting to see ways that full-on air mice or finger sensors might not be necessary, but I want her to be comfortable being able to work from a standing position, and finger sensors seem likely to be that corresponding solution from first principles.
