Light--Traction--Support

I have put 25 miles on these shoes in the last 7 days on trails in the Sierra exclusively. The fit was excellent---never a blister or a friction spot. They seem very light to me and have good traction even in the soft trails after the recent snow/rain. My foot is anchored in the shoe in the exact spot it should be, and even going down steep trials there is no problem with my foot sliding forward. My last pair of Columbia hiking boots--a different design less expensive--held up very well in my opinion. I walked 6-7 days per week for 13 months---averaging 4 miles per day--- almost always on concrete/blacktop at that time---only the right heel wore excessively compared to the rest of the shoe. I think you could spend $100 more than the Peakfreak Enduro cost and not have a substantially better shoe----so they are a good value in my mind.

Awesome shoes.

After wearing these shoes for a week, I can say that these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. From the instant I put them on they were perfect. Fit is spot on, and support for the entire foot is everywhere you need it. These are as expected from Columbia, everything I have that is Columbia is amazing. I've had four pairs of their Tango sandles, the only reason I had to get new ones is the toe strap broke. I may only wear Columbia footwear from now on. These are waterproof, and they truly do vent your feet heat so you have very little foot sweat. I can't say enough great things about these shoes. Buy them you will love them!

Way to narrow

I have worn a size 11 M/D Columbia boot for my entire adult life. These shoes when held up to my old shoes are significantly more narrow. Buy a wide if you normally wear a M/D, I guess ? Otherwise the quality was of high value.
