Built to provide support and protection from the elements during a wide range of cool-weather adventures, this waterproof women's trail shoe has a nubuck and textile upper, padded collar and tongue, and lace closure for a secure fit. The KEEN.DRYTM membrane keeps water out but allows moisture to escape. An ESS shank adds support from below and an external stabilizer supports the heel. Stitched-in KEEN ZORB Strobel lends extra spring to the already comfortable EVA insole, which can be replaced with an orthotic for greater personalization. The KEEN Gypsum hiking shoe is finished with a non-marking rubber outsole that features 4mm multi-directional lugs and a large surface area for enhanced traction. Fit tip: This style runs a half-size short. KEEN recommends ordering a half-size up from your normal size (if you normally wear an 8, order an 8.5).

The one thing I would say/remind everyone of is that the sizes run small so if you are a 7.5 and are going to wear thick socks order an 8.5, regular socks order an 8... you get the idea. Other than that I am really happy with these shoes :-)

Perfect

My Vasque hiking shoes started falling apart and I needed a new pair of shoes for a trip to Glacier National Park, in less than 10 days. Because i didn't have time to dither, and in my small city no one had any waterproof Keens in my size, I ordered both the Gypsum and the Targhee. My foot is a little bigger than an 8 so I ordered 8.5 in each. I now need the wide toe box because for some reason my third toes are almost as long as my big toes now, and the third toes were hitting on the Vasques.
I kept the Gypsum because they hold my heel in place better; my heel was sliding in the Targhee (note the features of the Gypsum list a stronger toe area and more waterproofing on top but otherwise they appear to be identical to the Targhee).
I have put 21 miles on these shoes in the past 4 days and I'm very happy with my purchase. Even better, a friend bought the Targhee pair.

After a long internet search I purchased my first Keen's

I read a lot of the reviews and many of then said they run small. I agonized over ordering a larger size, I usually wear a 7 in dress shoes but for athletic shoes I usually purchase 7.5 because I wear short cushions socks. My Keens I plan on using thru the winter and will be wearing a heavier sock so I ordered and 8. I was thrilled when I put them on and they fit perfectly. The arch support is incredible and they are so comfortable. I plan to use them to walk the dog and she goes out in all types of weather so I don't know if they will be warm since we have had spring like weather in PA so far. Waterproof is another feature I will have to wait and see, either way I love them and have been wearing them non stop. I love the roomy toe box and going down hills my toes don't hit the front of the shoe. I think these will also be great for hiking.
