First pair of Merrell's
By Image Maven
I purchased my pair of at an REI store, so I got the fit I needed. I believe I bought about a half size larger then normal. I walked around on their rocky test area and was very pleased at how sturdy my feet felt at all angles. Any other shoe I own, I bet my foot would have slipped a little inside the shoe. I have flat feet and plantar fasciitis, so I was a little worried about getting a new pair of shoes. This pair has erased all doubts and my feet feel better after I have worn them. I do add another small gel heel pad in one shoe, but that is it. I think this new Q form technology has a lot to do with how good these shoes work for me.

Disappointed
By Linda
After reading the reviews, I was really looking forward to getting these. I wear a size 10. They run a bit small. I wore them but was so surprised when I slipped several times on a wet surface. There wasn't any moss or anything else on the surface. Clean but wet. The bottoms look great for a rocky terrain but if you are on a wet smooth surface you WILL slip. I have to return them for both reasons.

Great shoes
By LadySmarmalade
This is my second pair of Moabs and they are really good shoes. I've purposely walked through puddles to test them and my feet stayed dry, so the waterproofing seems to work. I've worn them on plenty of wet days in WA. Obviously they're low tops, so they're not going to work well in a lot of water and I didn't stand still and try to let the water soak in, so your mileage may vary. They're very comfortable, and they have the new Q-form fit to keep you from rolling inward or outward when you walk, which I like. This wasn't used in my old pair, and while it does feel somewhat different, I think it's an improvement. I do tend to do exactly as they say, which is switch back and forth between under and over pronating, and these actually do feel like they force me to just walk straight. I also have the non-waterproof version of this shoe and like it just as much. The only tiny issue I've had is that the shoelaces on these things NEVER stay tied for more than a few hours unless I double
knot them. It's somewhat annoying, but that's the only even slightly negative thing I can say about them.
