Not a true BAREFOOT shoe

First of all, I am a Vivobarefoot fan. I own 3 pairs of their shoes/boots and swear by them for a true barefoot experience. This hiking boot unfortunately falls short. I wanted a boot with a thicker sole but neutral footbed like my other Vivos but this boot has a definite shape to the footbed. I have a Morton's Neuroma in one of my feet and so the only shoes I can wear are those with a true neutral footbed and this is not one of them. The toes angle upwards and do not allow them to splay naturally. Disappointed that Vivo couldn't produce a hiking boot that is inline with it's philosophy. Hope that the next design is better!

A rare breed: barefoot hiking boot

Unlike the vivobarefoot synth hiker, these fit true to size. They are very comfortable, and the sole grips like crazy! I'm hiking the Southern California back country this summer preparing for a fall trip to Nepal. Will update when I get back on durability.

Vivibarefoot Off Road boats great but a tight fit

I own several pairs of vivobarefoot shoes and allowed for socks when buying the hiking boots, but they are still on the tight side. Whilst it's good not to have too much movement when hiking, my toes are cramped in these boots and I don't enjoy the space that other vivobarefoot products provide. But.. still glad I bought them.
