This is my first pair of hiking boots and they are wonderful. Perfect if you have a narrow foot, especially when there are few hiking boots that cater to this foot type. These are lightweight and comfortable, great for spring to fall hiking (or even a little kayaking in-between because they are waterproof). No break-in time is needed, these fit great out of the box and you don't notice your boots for the rest of the day.

Great boots if you get the right size

I ordered these in size 9 which is consistently my shoe size. Unfortunately, they were a little snug. So I sent them back for a 9.5. If you are a size 9 like me the label inside the shoe will say EU 40 (european size 40). Technically a size 9 is 40.5. At least that's been my experience of shoes that actually fit comfortably. Therefore I would suggest going 1/2 a size up. Otherwise you should be fine and these are generally true to size but if you want a little bit more room or want to wear thicker socks I absolutely would suggest 1/2 size up. I saw reviews elsewhere about this same issue with these boots. Great - but get the right size.

Nicely made - A bit diffuclt to put on

It's a well made product (both quality and design-wise). Seems to fit true to size, and wears quite comfortably (according to the wife). The only issue so far is with putting these on. After inspecting the shoes, I've discovered that the tongue was actually sewed in leaving very little room for "maneuver".
Overall, a traditionally solid Teva product just not for those with steep medial cuneiform...
