I'm a tough foot to fit

I have extremely thick, wide feet (EEE) and usually have to go a size up. I also had a botched bunion surgery that caused one of my big toes to sit higher than the rest of the toes on my foot, which causes fit problems if the shoes are made a certain way. I am delighted to say these fit perfectly and are incredibly comfortable. I did go to a local store and try on a similar pair to get a feel for how their sizes ran and they were true to size. I now understand why all my friends rave about Merrell shoes and am now sold on them too. Pricey, but definitely worth the level of comfort I feel when wearing these shoes.

Good shoe at 1/2 size larger

I bought these as a gift for my Mom, who usually wears a 10 and I suggested that she get a 1/2 size larger for a walking shoe, which we did. When she received it, she thought it was a little too large, so we set up Amazon's great exchange program to get the size 10, while Amazon gave us 30 days to return the first pair before charging us for the second pair--amazing! When the smaller size arrived 2 days later, Mom found that it was a bit small in the toe area, so she returned the 10 and kept the 10 1/2. She has been walking with them, and like all Merrell shoes they felt great. Mom loves the periwinkle color and cream color trim. Plus gray around the lower sides so as not to show the soil/dirt.
Amazon is so user friendly. I haven't ever heard of any online company sending a second pair immediately and not charging for them right away. All I can say is Amazing Amazon!

Very Comfortable

I purchased these because I needed a last minute waterproof pair of shoes to wear during an outdoor winter event (lots of snow and standing melted snow puddles), and I love them! I bought them a half-size larger than I normally wear to ensure comfort while wearing thick wool socks (as suggested by another reviewer), and they fit great. I pulled them right out of the box that morning and then walked over 5 miles in them over the course of the day. They were very comfortable, and my feet remained dry. This is my first pair of Merrell's, and I can honestly say that this won't be the last. I have never purchased a pair of shoes that haven't been at least slightly uncomfortable during the first wearing, so I'm sold. If you purchase this shoe, you won't be disappointed.
