These Oboz have revolutionized my walking life. They look like sneakers but have much more support. I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone and especially to anyone who sneakers don't work for.

great hiking shoe

I hike the Grand Canyon rim to rim to rim every year. My favorite shoe was "upgraded" by the company and didn't work for me anymore. I had my daughter fitted at a hiking store and they recommended these. We both bought a pair and we couldn't be happier. They are very comfortable, sufficiently sturdy and breathe well. We hike 7 mile training routes 4-5 times a week and we are both VERY happy with these shoes. I typically wear a 7 wide, I bought these in a 7 and half and they are awesome.
Update...it's been a month and they are falling apart...I mean seriously shredding. Not such a fan now. I've emailed OBOZ and haven't heard from them.

stiffer than other Oboz I've had

Sturdy, waterproof, light weight. This shoe is far from 'cushy' which my last pair of Oboz were. In this regard they are more like Merrel trail shoes- stiff. The laces feel too thin for satisfying the bulky tongue folds. Not sure I like these, but since I bought them here and not at REI I am stuck with them.
