A very good light boot for field work and hiking
By Tom Kimmerer
As a forest scientist, I spend my life in my boots. On average, I go through 2-3 pairs per year. Today, I received my first pair of FiveTen Men's Camp Four Hiking Shoe and they are very comfortable. i like sticky-soled approach shoes for tree climbing and rock scrambling, but it is very hard to find approach shoes in my size (14). These fit the bill very nicely. It remains to be seen how they wear over the next year. Typically, I buy 2 pairs of boots and alternate them so they don't get too funky. Compared with other boots I've worn in recent years, these are lighter in weight, flexible but with good support, and comfortable right out of the box. The laces go almost to the toe, so it was fairly easy, with a few minutes of effort, to get the right fit in the toe box.

A "shoe in" for dependable footwear
By lindsay31
I love, love, love these shoes! Well made with good support and tread that works well on ice. I purchased them because the last pair I owned lasted SEVEN years!

There not broke in yet ..but they fit well right out of the box!!
By Jeff booher
I'm planning to walk "the Camino" in Spain April 2014 I need a shoe boot that Is great for paths up hills down rocky wash outs etc.
I'm always weary about internet shoes. These were a great choice they feel good on my feet.. I'm planning on putting in Walk Fit arch supports... I have high arches but so far I have not encountered the pain as I usually do in my arches... Frankly I'm surprised They fit so well.. I have a wide foot so I purchased a size 9 when I wear an 8.5US. I figured my feet would swell a little on my up coming 500 + mile walk plus I need room for double socks ? Liner to avoid blistering ...Weight is my key issue, I didn't want a heavy pack boot these are going to do nicely ... plus they look good ... I look at the moose jaw out door site and discovered they were 140 plus tax ... Here I was able to pick them up for 85.00 I'm so glad I checked Amazon before I paid that 50 I saved is going for sox....Most important they look good on my feet .... I have bought
a lot of shoes these look great!!
