to highlight.js
Greetings

Kaggle ( http://kaggle.com/ ) is a company which runs predictive
modelling competitions

Our community of data scientists comprises thousands of PhDs from
quantitative fields such as computer science, statistics,
econometrics, maths and physics. They come from over 100 countries and
200 universities.

highlight.js came to our attention with the addition of MATLAB
support, as it is one of the two dominant languages used by our
community. We plan to switch to highlight.js from prettify.js (and
already have in a dev branch).

Further, we would like to sponsor the addition to highlight.js of the
primary language used by our community, the R statistical computing
language ( http://www.r-project.org/ ).

On the advice of Ivan, I am writing to make an open request for
developers interested in doing the implementation.

Our main priority is a high quality implementation. Familiarity with
implementing languages in highlight.js and a knowledge of R would
obviously be an advantage.

Funding would be on a time and cost basis.

Thank you for your time

Hi Adam!

I'm interested in this, just for highlight.js popularization :)

I've pick up some random examples of R from Github:
There is a pure highlight, so I have a question: what R language constructions you want to be highlighted?

BTW, I just noticed an implementation fork for R:
https://github.com/rstudio/highlight.js/tree/rstudio. I don't know how
(or if) this is related to Adam's offer, just wanted to give a heads-up
to anyone interested.

I've received an email from an RStudio developer, who has said they
are working on R support.
