The first day of group...

Hello Everyone

First of all, welcome to this group which took birth exactly at 22:20 hrs in my head last night. And then some effort till 1 AM today.

The best deal is that within 17 Hrs, we have crossed 20 joiners, which is very nice, considering we are a very niche community. I am going to make sure that only relevant and genuine people join this group and it does not become a frivolous marketplace. Thanks for putting your trust in me.

Now that we have started I have some emotions and thoughts to share and would welcome your views.

1. I think first task of importance is to 'increase the tribe'. The more relevant members we have, the better will be the possibility of business generation. May I suggest you all promote this group at Twitter, Facebook and LI? In addition, you can add this line in your email signatures: "For business opportunities in Healthcare Consultancy, Join our group at http://bit.ly/W2sgzo". You may also use the same line for promoting it on T/FB/LI etc. In addition, those of you who run blogs or websites can add our Join Group logo code within any website. I have the code at the bottom of this post.
2. The second task I have in mind is that everyone should introduce oneself. Please write a post with subject line "Introduction: ABC Healthcare consultants pvt ltd" Please keep it short and sweet, but do mention your contact details. And, most important, do mention those keywords with which you want other people to search you (like I will add 'Medical informatics') These posts will permanently remain on the group, will be google searchable and will be an important showcase of you to the world on net. So do make it and do make it good.
3. The third and perhaps the last task i have today in mind is to make this group vibrant and active. I kept this group 'invitation only' because i wanted a group of genuinely interested people only. And you all are those genuine people. Right from Hussain who is an architect, we have Dr Bala who is healthcare eLearning content specialist, covering so many facets in between. There may be areas we are not even aware and we need to make each other aware of our biz so that whenever a hospital mentions a job worth your profile, only your name should flash in my head. How else would I pass any business to you?

Having said this, i will take it upon myself to ensure this group thrives and generates opportunities for each other. Please join hands with me to make it stronger. Thanks again for joining
