Call for Application for National Entrepreneurship Awards 2017

Dear Friends,
I'm writing you all to share about an exciting opportunity and call for advocacy & outreach support. As we are aware India is witnessing an explosion of ambition among the youth, who aspires to do something unique and path-breaking creating opportunities of growth for themselves and the country. As entrepreneurship is gaining momentum in the country with proactive stance of the Government of India on ease of doing business, the mobilization of youth for embracing a cultural shift to take entrepreneurship as a preferred career option is the biggest task at hand before the nation to harness this opportunity.
An important step in this direction has been undertaken by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MoSDE) by instituting the annual National Entrepreneurship Awards (NEA) last year. These Awards aim to boost entrepreneurship development in the country by recognizing and honoring the young entrepreneurs and ecosystem builders across the country for their outstanding contribution. The NEA comprising of 17 Awards for Young Entrepreneurs and 6 Awards of Ecosystem Builders have been carefully conceptualized to enable participation of first generation entrepreneurs and ecosystem builders across sectors, geographies and socio-economic background. The purpose is to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship and highlight models of excellence for others to emulate and improve upon.
In partnership with the premier academic institutions in the country, TISS Mumbai is leading the process for the selection of the Winners of National Entrepreneurship Awards 2017 (NEA-2017). The awardees will be felicitated in an Awards Ceremony on 9th November 2017. The Awardees will be awarded a Trophy, Certificate and the Cash Prize of INR 10 lakh (organizations) and INR 5 lakh (individuals/enterprises). The call for application is already open from July 28th 2017 till September 15th 2017.
We seek your meaningful support to promote National Entrepreneurship Awards 2017 among the youth and the ecosystem builders. We urge your active involvement in-
1) Generating awareness and promoting the awards in relevant networks
2) Apply and Reach out to the potential awardees and encourage them to apply as well
