Everyone is welcome.   The Midsummer Street Party will be in Polstead Road on 10th June from 5.00-10.00 p.m. with food, drink and non-stop entertainment. All proceeds will go to the St Margaret’s Institute.   There will be live music from 3 bands, fish and chips, a bar, and a variety of sideshows, games and activities.   The ticket price includes gourmet fish and chips, a free drink at the bar and five goes on the sideshows.   £10 for adults, £5 for 5-16 year-olds, under 5s free. There are more details in the poster here. For some reason (presumably connected with the catering), tickets for the St Margaret's Area midsummer street party won't be on sale after Monday 4 June. So please contact me ASAP if you would like to buy tickets. -- Catherine Robinson (#12, tel. 07879 488785).

A clarification: all are welcome to the Street Party on June 10th – no ticket required! (ie free entry : roll up, roll up!!!!) 

But the tickets are effectively 'dining tickets', and include excellent fish 'n' chips, a drink and a  free 'goes' on the various stalls etc. They are very good value and all funds raised after costs go to the Institute, which is a fantastic facility to have so close by :)

Also a Hayfield Road band is opening the Street Party at 5pm: Don't miss Mark Atherton and Friends playing original and lively songs for your delight and delectation! 

Come on down to this fun community event!
