Haxe Release Roadmap?

Hi again! In production we still use Haxe 3.2.1 but since I now need to upgrade to 3.3.0 I wonder when there will be the next official release? The 3.3.0-rc1 is out there since end of may and I wonder why it's still a release candidate (but officially released). I'll use it anyway, but simply try to understand if there are some big bug's in it? The official roadmap seems to be outdated as well: http://haxe.org/community/roadmap.html :D

There have been some complications. At first there were some bugfixing
delays, then nadako started working on vshaxe and we ended up adding
more display features to Haxe while waiting for the bugfixes. Then two
nasty regressions showed up that prompted some rewrites, one of which
was so far-reaching that it would be silly to just go from RC to release.

I think at this point we'll just not have a 3.3 release and instead go
to a 3.4 RC. Unfortunately, I can't give an ETA for that either because
there are still some regressions popping up and still some bugs to be
fixed. Either way, if you want to upgrade, a nightly build should be
much better than the RC anyway and prepare you for the next "proper"
release.

Ah - thanks for clarification. So I'll download a nightly. In the meantime a little side note. If I download rc1 I actually get an installer displaying rc2.

Also do not forget about the HL-Target ( https://github.com/HaxeFoundation/hl ).  That is also taking up some development time. Not sure what version of Haxe this will be included ( /when its finished ).

Hi Simon,

I think you should not put the RC versions (especially this 3.3 one) as default downloadable version on haxe.org

it would give bad impression of instability to new comers.

Or rc versions are not stable by definition.

Yes I shouldn't have set that, didn't realize it would print a line like that. At this point I'm not gonna change that though.
