This is from "Billy Shines" on Dirty South Blues Harp
It should be noted that "That's It" is actually a C chromatic in C and a pretty poor attempt at that.

One inaccuracy in that list - "That's It" is played on a C chromatic. He's using the draw notes with the slide in, which gives a type of C chord (C-Eb-Gb-Bb), but it's has a diminished fifth and sounds kind of weird, so he gives up and goes back to third position on the Bb diatonic.
(A few years later, Stevie Wonder solved the weirdness problem by using those slide-in draw notes as part of a C blues scale, played mostly in single notes, and in the process invented a whole new way to get funky on the chromatic harmonica.)
Walter also played chromatic (always a C chromatic) on a number of Muddy Waters recordings as well.

Hi all

Little Walter also did Blue Light with a C chromatic and a G
diatonic. A slow blues instrumental.

Worth noting that Walter often begins a tune on chromatic and switches to diatonic for the solo. Not very different in effect from the position-switching that Charlie Musselwhite uses on many of his performance, some of which involve chromatic/diatonic switches; it puts a new sound in the mix and wakes the audience up.

What a great question! This is why I love harp-L. I will be reading all the responses with great interest! I also am reminded of a Muddy Waters quote where he said something like: " I feel bad for those harmonica players who are trying to figure out Walter's parts because he was switching harmonicas all the time". Best,Jim
