I gather that the BLP files are rather like DLLs only for Delphi. I did not find them in the source code for CPRS. They are apparently some sort of components that can be downloaded at the links below.

RTL100.bpl

http://www.opendll.com/index.php?file-download=rtl100.bpl&arch=32bit&version=10.0.2288.42451

RTL60.bpl

http://www.opendll.com/index.php?file-download=rtl60.bpl&arch=32Bit&version=6.0.6.163&dsc=Borland-Component-Package

To compile CPRS using D2007 - you can try my preconfigured repo and youtube clip.

I downloaded your preconfigured repo and followed your youtube clip, but I still get the errors missing serveral files, TXWBRichEdit, TRPCBroker, I am using X3 on a Windows 7 64 bit system. How do I get these files and load them.

Sounds like you are missing the OR controls.  By the way, my standard description of trying to get Delphi to compile for the first time is "2 days of swearing."  Others seem to get it done with less sweat.  Your mileage may vary.

You may be having a problem because you are not using the correct version of
Delphi.

I thought CPRS 30 would compile in X3?

Thanks

I said may because i didn't know what you were working on. I think 30 does
use X3.

At the VistA Community Meeting it was said that CPRS 30B works with Delphi X3.
To remind folks, that source code hasn't been released yet. Only CPRS
30A has been
released, and it uses Delphi 2007 I think.

PS: It of course is possible that CPRS 30B has been released, but I
haven't seen any mention of it
by friends in the VA. It is also possible that I'm misremembering what
version of Delphi that CPRS 30A depends upon

Well, you know that saying "Ask and you receive?" Apparently the VA has released a test version of CPRS 30B this morning.

A new submission has been added to OSEHRA Technical Journal.

Title: VA Code in flight submission - CPRS v30B T59.

Authors: OIT PD Open Source Configuration and Tools Mgmt Division.

Abstract: The Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) Graphical User Interface (GUI) is a Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) computer application. CPRS enables you to enter, review, and continuously update information connected with a patient. With CPRS, you can order lab tests, medications, diets, radiology tests and procedures, record a patient’s allergies or adverse reactions to medications, request and track consults, enter progress notes, diagnoses, and treatments for each encounter, and enter discharge summaries. In addition, CPRS supports clinical decision-making and enables you to review and analyze patient data. This submission includes the following in process patches: OR_30_350v59 GMRV_5_28 PSJ_5_307v2 TIU_1_268v12 YS_501_116v2

We discovered some problem with the Handle url in the OSEHRA Technical Journal notice on CPRS 30B.    Please use this url to access the CPRS 30B - http://code.osehra.org/journal/journal/view/262#

We are looking into the issue at this time. Apologize for the confusion.
