mysql sever

කවුරු හරි මට කියල දෙනවද හන්තාන ලිනක්ස් වලට mysql sever 5.5.22 දා ගන්න
විදිය ගැන.මම උත්සහ කළාට හරිගියෙ නෑ.Terminal එකේ මෙන්න මෙහෙම Message
එකක් එනවා.

කවුරු හරි පුළුවන් ඉක්මනට මේකට කරන්න පුළුවන් දෙයක් ගැන කියන්න..

Run as root from a command line :

Hanthana 15 :
# rpm -Uvh http://rpms.famillecollet.com/remi-release-15.rpm

Hanthana 14 :
# rpm -Uvh http://rpms.famillecollet.com/remi-release-14.rpm

Hanthana 12 :
# rpm -Uvh http://rpms.famillecollet.com/remi-release-12.rpm

Hanthana 11:
# rpm -Uvh http://rpms.famillecollet.com/remi-release-11.rpm

# yum --enablerepo=remi install mysql mysql-server

That'll install mysql 5.5.22. Obviosuly you need a working internet
connection for this.

I have also this error.
$ mysql

Yep, Try to install whole LAMP server using above command

or

type sudo tasksel

and select LAMP server manually and try it.

NOTE:

1. Installing and running the database component of the LAMP stack, called MySQL, is at least as easy. The following command will install the database and the server process.

# yum install mysql mysql-server

2. (F10 or older only) The server process must likewise be running and accessible.

# /sbin/chkconfig  mysqld on

# echo '-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 3306 -j ACCEPT' >> /etc/sysconfig/iptables

# /sbin/service iptables restart

# /sbin/service mysqld start

3. To test that everything is working okay so far, run this command to print out some information and check its status:

 # mysqladmin version status

ඉහත විධාන දෙකම දෙන්න.

Graphical User Interface එකෙදි:

Service Configuration (Hanthana 17) හෝ System > Administration > Services (හන්තාන 14,15 සහඳහා)

mysqld සේවාව තෝරා  Start සහ Enable යන බොත්තම් දෙකම ඔබන්න.

ස්තුතියි ඩනිෂ්ක. mysqld සේවාව Start කලා(Enable සක්‍රිය වුනේ නැහැ).
නමුත් එය ක්‍රියාත්මකයි.
