Living Art Workshop
 
The Centre for Art Tapes is coordinating a very exciting Master Class (October 8th to the 13th) in collaboration with the Consulate General of France, and with a special team of arts professionals and technical advisors from Le Cube (http://www.lecube.com/en/espace-pro/accueil), a very well-known new media institution in France.
 
Space is limited -- 5 artists and 5 computer programmers will work together to create artworks using new media to create Living Art.
 
Living Art is the term given to a form of expression that is based on the specificity of the digital medium called artificial intelligence. This medium permits the production of works that process an autonomous behavior that interacts and relates with both its environment and audience. Artworks created in the workshop will be presented during Nocturne.
 
The workshop runs from October 8-12, with the work being presented during Nocturne (October 13). The cost is $100, and includes a light lunch for each of the workshop days.
