Are there any 5.5mm OD 2.1mm ID power jacks in the Space? Like these? http://a.co/fEKZe37

And ideally matching plugs, although I have some of those.

I want to make the laser monitor power connector more robust.

If not, I will buy the above and park them in the spiffy new shelving unit.

I can bring some in if you'd like. There is a box of 12V/4A supplies with connectors that match if that works, otherwise I can bring in some male connectors if you need a different voltage...

Peter.

Shoot. I have some on me but didn't read this until I left today.  I can bring a couple in Sunday and some male ends too of you need them.  Or if you and Peter have it figured out, good.  Let me know.

The power bricks Peter showed me are overkill for the monitor, plus they output 12v, which is too high for input voltage. Hmm, I suppose I could add some intermediate voltage regulation, and then we would have plenty of 5 volt power for that CrystalFontz display.

Either way, we still need a 5.5mm OD 2.1mm ID jack to plug in to. The power brick has a male end / plug of this size.

In my to-be-repaired pile is a fried Arduino Uno with this size jack on it, which I could cannibalize.

I will drop some off on Sunday, labelled, and in the new parts bin.  If you find an alternate solution before then, good, but I will do it either way.
