Okay here goes:

1) Come to Maker Faire!

Seriously, I will make sure this is awesome. Come hang out and help prove that cool things can happen in Tyler. Justin the Red will also be putting on a demo. I'll also have a spare chair at my table for much (all?) of the day if anyone wants to just chill and speak and nerds do.

2) I need your old tech gear/junk.

I've started doing some hardware hacking projects and I'm looking for electronics folks don't mind me taking apart. There are a bunch of things I'd take, but in particular I'm looking for old video game systems and controllers. I don't care if they work as I'm mostly looking to salvage the controller ports and serial chips.

3) Girlfriend party

The 2nd ever Tasneem-themed party is happening at my house of the week of the 24th. I don't have an exact date yet. Please let me know if there are days you CAN'T come. We'll likely play it the same as last time--dinner at Stanley's, then march over to my place for board games and booze.

4) My cat needs a sitter/home

I've been travelling like crazy and in the coming months the trips are likely to become longer. I'm looking for either a long-term cat-sitter (as in, I'll buy her food, but she lives with you for a month at a time) or somebody who wants to adopt her. She's a super-gentle, early-middle-aged white cat. She's very well litter-box trained and epic chill. She will keep your hands warm while you're coding if you let her.

Yikes, this went woefully unresponded-to.

1. I'm going to try to come to Maker Faire!

2. I have a DS Lite you're welcome to have. It would be repairable to the so inclined (bad EM10), but probably nobody will want to because it's complicated, expensive, and not worth it.

3. I'm showing a full availability calendar the week of the 24th, except the 24th and probably the 30th.

4. If she came with an off switch that I could flip when going out of town, I'd want her, but if she had that, so would you. Sorry mang.

2. I'll happily take it though honestly there isn't too much I can salvage from it (as all the components are miniaturized.) If you're going to junk it I'll surely take what I can from though.
