The Doing Journalism with Data: First Steps, Skills and Tools course is designed in five easy-to-follow modules and will help you master the essentials. Presented by experts from New York Times, Zeit Online and the W. Cronkite J-School, and other thought-leading organisations, the course will show you how to produce data stories quickly by transforming data into simple, compelling and informative narratives or visualisations.

The course is a joint initiative by #HacksHackers partners at the African Media Initiative / Code for Africa, and the European Journalism Center. Seats are going fast, so sign-up now for place on the 1st course scheduled to start in late January 2012.  #HacksHackers will organise additional local tutors and study groups if enough local members register.
