#HHNBO Event - Investigation series: #PanamaPapers and Beyond

The Hacks/Hackers community in Nairobi meets monthly to discuss pertinent issues, brainstorm and collaborate on plausible solutions.

In the past year or so, 400 journalists from more than 100 media orgs in 80+ countries worked on #PanamaPapers, an epoch-making investigation that revealed the offshore links of some of the globe’s most prominent figures. This Friday, 22nd April 2016, #HHNBO will pay homage to some of the journalists that worked on the #PanamaPapers investigative pieces on Kenya . How did they get involved? What challenges did they face? What opportunities exist for other journalists and technologists to be part of such investigations? What fruit has come out of such leaks?

Come learn, question and interact with our panel from 5.00pm this Friday as we discuss the #PanamaPapers investigation and discover opportunities for us to plug in and make a difference.
