ACPI Lid close event when the lid is actually open very wide...

Hi,
Few days ago I noticed that another person in HackerSpace had a problem
with laptop ACPI.
When lid was open very wide, it sent ACPI "lid_closed" event, and thus
suspend the laptop.
Since the symptom was very unusual, I remembered the bug :-).
Now I'm victim of the same bug since yesterday. Any hints on how to
solve this one?
Downgrades of kernel didn't help, so looks like this is another major
ACPI breakage that may affect quite a few people.
