I'm trying to run the following command:

./h2o_on_hadoop -version=cdh3 -user=tchan -name_server=hdfs://10.128.92.80:8020 -job_tracker=hdfs://10.128.92.80:8021 -port=54321 -ice_root=/tmp -memory=4096

The job always fails on Hadoop with the following error:

java.lang.Throwable: Child Error
at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.run(TaskRunner.java:242)
Caused by: java.io.IOException: Task process exit with nonzero status of 1.
at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.run(TaskRunner.java:229)

What might be the problem?

Tim,
Apologies you ran into this. It's possible that the child process is asking for more resources than available on the node.

Our team are in the process of pushing out a more robust fix - one that uses the $hadoop jar h2o.jar approach.

Please standby and thank you for your efforts.

thanks, Sri
