Hi,
First of all, thanks to the developers for creating an awesome
high-performance database library and releasing it as free software!
H2 is available under two licenses: the EPL 1.0 or a modified version
of the MPL 1.1. Unfortunately, neither is compatible with the GPL, so
it's not possible to distribute H2 and any GPL-licensed library in the
same project (the GPL forbids it).
However, the MPL 2.0 is compatible with the GPL. Would the developers
please consider upgrading H2's license from version 1.1 of the MPL to
version 2.0?
Mozilla recommends upgrading projects to the MPL 2.0:

I would have to ask a few people first, I guess it would take some time. What you could do is upgrade the license yourself:
