Generate timestamp in url parmater in feature file and reflect change in log output.

For an API request i would like to generate a unique time stamp value to add as a parameter to the URL.
This new value should be sent to the server.  But i also want it logged to the log output.  I do not just want the place holder. 

Any ideas how to accomplish this.
