Developer key: access to over 1'900'000 pieces

Are the 1'900'000 pieces a random sample of all the Guardian content? How is it determined which pieces end up in this collection of 1'900'000 and which do not?

Hi Philine,

This is not a random sample, this all the content we have produced digitally that is available (we use the same API for our own website and apps). On the developer tiers you will have only not access to content that we are restricted to redistribute for rights reason. 

On the commercial tiers you can have access to all the content

Can you give me an example of a type of piece that would not be available due to rights reasons?

What would you say, are the pieces that I can access via the developer key 90% of all content? More? Less?
