Live updates eg. Football

Hey guys, 

I am working on a NewsFeed app. I have noticed that, for example, when a live football match is being played, you provide timely updates. In such a case, it would be nice if I can detect such news items and give them a special design. Such news items, could be placed on top of all the news items, or even more I can notify a user for such news items.

Is there a way to detect news items that receive timely updates. Like when a Live Football match is being played.

By default items are ordered by publication date but you can order by last-modified date using order-by parameter.

I get you. In that case I will give a special format to items appearing first. It isn't bad though.
