I'm working on getting up to speed on TP3 and as I go through the process, was wondering if it would be of any help if I updated the sql2gremlin.com data set and examples for TP3.  Is this something you guys would have any interest taking a PR for?

Thanks,
Ted

Not sure where Mr. Kuppitz is going with that but I think the job is bigger than just updating the content. We need to get off of the content formatter we've been using for sql2gremlin and gremlindocs and likely switch to the asciidoc formatter we've been using for the tinkerpop docs.

Daniel, that was the plan last we kicked it around...you still sticking with that idea?

Maybe we can get the model nailed down this week and get those sites up to date with 3.x.

Yep, I still like the asciidoc idea. I will ping you tomorrow to talk about details.

Cheers,
Daniel

Just to keep everyone up to speed on where things are with gremlindocs.com and sql2gremlin.com - Daniel Kuppitz has made some good progress on getting the asciidoc formatter working for sql2gremlin.com.  Once that's done I'll pull his model over to gremlindocs.com.  At that point, pull requests will be welcome.

Ted, I'll let Daniel speak for sql2gremlin, but I think that gremlindocs will definitely be in need of new content, as it's role needs to change a little bit.  It can't be just a catalog of steps anymore as we already have that in the standard TinkerPop docs.  I've been thinking that it would be like a recipe repository, but perhaps it can be bigger than that.  I'm open to suggestions in this area for what it could be.

Cool, thanks for the update.  Yeah, good point on gremlindocs.  I was looking at it and the new docs and wondering how better to differentiate it.  I like the recipe idea.  Maybe group it by different domains or something like social, biology, etc?  On the other hand, that would increase complexity a good bit because you'd need a different example dataset for each.
