Stardog 4.0 RC1 Released, featuring TP3 Support

Folks,

We're very happy to announce the first release candidate of Stardog 4.  For the Gremlin enthusiasts here, one of the major new features of Stardog 4 is a fully compliant implementation of the TP3 stack.  Stardog supports both the property graph model and the RDF model interchangeably; users can work with whichever mode they find most intuitive and easily change between the views of the underlying data without having to modify the physical contents of the graph.

Further, Stardog's OWL and rule support is integrated with the property graph view of the data.  Which means any nodes or edges in the graph inferred by the database will be navigable via Gremlin as if it were explicit data.  And you can use the integrity constraint support in Stardog to enforce what you want your graph to look like, and get explanations for any violations of those constraints giving you more power over your graph.

I really like what you guys have done. This is the first seamless RDF/PropertyGraph union I've seen to date. Why?

1. Same underlying data model, both API representations.

2. Gremlin can traverser over reasoned OWL/RDFS edges.

3. URIs are the native IDs for both property graphs and RDF.

Atop that, you have GraphComputer support for OLAP operations (so I've heard, though I don't see it in the docs).

Well done…so stoked.
