Hi All,

I wanted to let you know that as of today Neptune is now generally available (GA): https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/amazon-neptune-generally-available/ and includes support for Apache TinkerPop 3.3.2.

We have also released a github project [1] that may be used with Gremlin to using AWS IAM authentication with SigV4 signing. See also [2] and [3]

Thanks to everyone who's participated in the Neptune preview and has been active on the list. We're looking forward to hearing from the community on their TinkerPop and Gremlin use cases and how they apply with Neptune.

Thanks, --Brad

Hi Brad, thanks for announcing here. I mentioned on a different thread that it was nice to know that Neptune folks were keeping an eye on this list as we seem to get a number of questions here about it. I'm not sure if any of Neptune engineers are subscribed to the TinkerPop dev list as well, but it's the best source for graph providers such as yourselves to keep up to date on the latest features, bugs, release planning, general direction, etc.

Take care,

Stephen

Hi Brad,
Thanks for the update. Is there a neptune plugin (just like we have Neo4j plugin), which works with gremlin server? Or we have to use the SAAS version of neptune?

Thanks
Amit

Hi Amit,

Neptune is fully managed and provides a Gremlin Websocket and REST server. Once you create a Neptune instance, you can configure your Gremlin client to connect via one of the methods at [1]. For Neptune-specific questions, there's also a forum at [2].
