Jeff,
You've gotten more than a few emails now about our big conference happening in just a few weeks. Still on the fence? Here's a few things to tip you over:
- Not one, but two amazing keynotes. Kandi Mossett, a leader with the Indigenous Environmental Network, has been on the front lines of fighting the Dakota Access Pipeline and Lois Gibbs, founder of Center for Health, Environment & Justice, helped launch the modern toxics movement and recently has done work in Flint, MI.
- Twenty amazing workshops like Climate Organizing in the Age of Trump, Pushing the Envelope: 100% Renewables for All, Corporate Connections of Contaminates and Climate.
- Nearly 100 co-sponsoring groups. Meet folks from around the region working on everything from clean energy, to stopping pipelines, and from curbing pesticides to promoting clean water.
- It's our 30th Anniversary Conference. This year promises to be bigger than ever with lessons learned over our three decades of bringing together New England's dedicated local activists.
With everything that's happening in DC right now, sometimes it can be overwhelming to know what to do to protect out families, our communities and our democracy. We know from our 30 year history that taking action locally has really big ripple effects.
The whole conference team is working to put together a fantastic event that will leave you filled with knowledge about today's most pressing environmental issues, armed with the tools ready to fight for our New England communities, and inspired to make change right where you live.
Will I see you on March 5th? I hope so.
Best,
Sylvia Broude
