Sail Planes for grassroots mapping

Hi list,

Has anyone here tried mapping with sailplanes? I went out yesterday with a gentlemen in Smithers, BC who owns one. It's amazing. Light, easy to loft, can stay up for hours in any condition and relatively inexpensive.

Here's a sample image. I'm going out with him again today, will document the process for a research note.
