This is a ways off, but glad to hear it'll be in boston this coming year -- friend Guido Stein's done some amazing work getting this organized. 

Perhaps we can have a Public Lab meet up in conjunction.

The Free and Open Source Software For Geospatial (FOSS4G) conference is coming to Boston, Massachusetts, USA on August 14-19, 2017.  This conference is hosted annually by the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo).  Last year's conference in Bonn, Germany had about 1,000 attendees from 40 countries. Don’t miss the chance to attend this global event in the USA!
