Sure, but I just don't see the point. Connecting to packet modems
through standardized interfaces like KISS makes it possible for
applications to work with packet data independent of the receiver.
If there is the need for a reporting tool with a GUI, I'd suggest that
it connects to the KISS interface of Direwolf and, if necessary,
controls the receiver using hamlib. It would still work with Gqrx, but
in addition it would also work with any other radio.
Other than not running Direwolf in the background, I don't see any
advantages in having a built-in reporting tool.
