How do I use I/Q recording and replay tool?

I know how to use I/Q recording tool to record IQ data from rtl-sdr, and I can replay those gqrx recorded IQ data on gnuradio or gqrx using Complex Sampled (IQ) File option in Configure I/O devices. But how do I use the play button in the I/Q recording and replay tool to replay the IQ file? When I choose one of the files that works with IQ file option in gqrx and press the play button, the time tool moves forward, and there is a text in the main gqrx window that say playing (path to IQ file here). But there is no waterfall or spectrum analyzer output, and there is no sound. This is weird as using IQ file option in the I/O setting works, as there is a waterfall and spectrum and sound.

There is also a plot button next to the record button, but for some reason it is greyed out

Do you have DSP processing enabled while you play the file? It has to be
enabled.
