Dear Vivek,

do you suppose that the Department of Justice wishes to be associated with a contractor who habitually spams mailing lists with inappropriate job offers? The email forwarded below is totally off-topic for the google groups gqrx list (see https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/gqrx). The quote below is from the list's terms of reference, and you will notice no reference to recruitment or job offers &c.:
Welcome to Gqrx!

Gqrx is a software defined radio receiver that uses GNU Radio as signal processing framework and the Qt toolkit for its user interface. Currently it can be used as an AM, FM and SSB receiver using the Funcube Dongle, RTL2832U-based DVB-T dongles, USRP, HackRF, BladeRF, NetSDR and OsmoSDR devices on Linux and Mac OS X.

You can use this forum/group to discuss anything related to Gqrx, but please do search the group first for help and for troubleshooting tips.

Dear Press Office: please forward as appropriate.

Alex,

you've nothing to apologise for, and I do sympathise with the pressures
of running an email list and getting on with the rest of one's life. The
fault lies with Vivek and his employer's customers and his employer's
disreputable business methods. That was why the last spam email was
copied to the US Department of Justice Press Office, since the
communication is almost certainly in violation of the USA's 2003
CAN-SPAM Act, and most definitely brings the DoJ in to disrepute, since
it advertised a job with the DoJ!

Oh, the irony of it!

Yours chuckling,

Robin
