Having got Gqrx 2.5.3 successfully installed under Ubuntu 16.04 (xenial), a search in the launcher for gqrx comes up with Gqrx 2.3.1. However, when I click on this, I get two icons in the left hand strip. One says Gqrx 2.3.1 but this disappears after a while. The second says Gqrx. If I then lock this second icon to the Launcher and quit Gqrx, the icon allows Gqrx 2.5.3 to be launched.

If I log off and then back on, the icon now says Gqrx 2.3.1 and clicking on it produces a second icon saying Gqrx 2.5.3.

Before installing Gqrx, I performed a sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove gqrx-sdr and got no response to a launcher search for gqrx.

I wonder whether the icon labelled Gqrx 2.3.1 is lurking somewhere in the installation procedure. If I knew where is was, I would try to delete it but no luck so far.
