17 inch macbook pro laptop

gqrx sounded great

turned on IQ recording

Audio started to break up and then waterfall deteriorated and stopped

Probably interrupts generated while writing data from cache to disk.
But it's just a guess since I have no idea how much data or how fast
your computer is. You can also try to run volk_profile included in the
bundle to enable cpu optimized code.

You can try to play with various input decimation settings. PErhaps
you just need to reduce the IQ rate a bit.
