Hello All,

I've been having trouble with my FunCube Dongle and GQRX. In short GQRX crashes whenever I set the FunCube Dongle as the input source.

What I get from the crash report is this,

Crashed Thread:        0  Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread

Exception Type:        EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT)
Exception Codes:       0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000

Application Specific Information:
*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSRangeException', reason: '-[NSTaggedPointerString getCharacters:range:]: Range {0, 32} out of bounds; string length 3'
terminating with uncaught exception of type NSException
abort() called

Can anyone tell me what might be going wrong here?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Sean.

Hi Sean,

It's a known issues with a known fix:
https://github.com/csete/gqrx/issues/358
But I don't have time at the moment to fix it and create a new bundle.

I had a similar issue previously in that gqrx failed to recognise my FUNCube Dongle Pro+. At the time, I was advised (by Alex) to upgrade using Gqrx-2.5.3-1.dmg which solved the problem. I have now upgraded OS X to 10.11.5 and Gqrx seems to work perfectly with the FUNCube dongle. Might I suggest upgrading Gqrx and OS X to their latest versions?

Hi David

The Pro+ should work just fine, but the Pro (without +) is still
broken. They use different drivers and the driver for the Pro will
have to be updated berfore it can work again on OS X.
