Greetings,

Are there any way (without significantly breaking anything) to make gqrx tuning step increments in 10Hz  (mouse click, mouse wheel) while in "Demodulate off" state.

The reason for this is that I am sending gqrx (paired with funcube) mouse clicks (frequency, "red line mark") via rigctl  to my main shack rig. If I turn Demodulator on (f.e. CW) my little netbook due to lack of cpu power chokes and freezes.  But once I turn it off I am able to work with grrx, logging/keyer programm (tlf) and browse the web with chrome effortlessly, but step automatically becomes 100 Hz which is too big for narrow (SSB, CW) modes.

Hi Zilvis,

I can tell you where to modify the source code or you can wait until a
future update that will include this pending pull request:
https://github.com/csete/gqrx/pull/231

I am ready to patch the code and test it ASAP if time is right for you.
Otherwise I can wait - it's not the end of the world... I made dozen QSO this way already. Only that tuning step makes to feel a bit uncomfortable.

It's really no big deal to change it if you are already able to compile gqrx.

In the file applications/gqrx/mainwindow.cpp at line 786 there is a
function called MainWindow::selectDemod(int index)
https://github.com/csete/gqrx/blob/master/applications/gqrx/mainwindow.cpp#L786

In this function you can see a parameter click_res being set depending
on the selected mode. You can simply change it to anything and rebuild
gqrx.
