The frequency zoom, offset, and some of the waterfall settings are not being saved on the Raspberry Pi, even if I manually save and load the config file.  I'm assuming that saving these parameters is just not implemented, but maybe it's a bug?  If it's just not implemented, then I'm happy to do it myself assuming there's not some reason that these parameters can't be easily saved and restored.

Hi Paul,

The zoom and offset on the frequency axis are sort of intentionally
left out. For permanent zoom I would simply use a lower sample rate
and/or higher input decimation. Is there a use case that can not be
covered using this?

Which waterfall settings are not saved? Probably just not implemented.

In general, gqrx saves and restores the settings automatically and
there is no difference between that and using the "Save as" function.
But there are some settings that have not been implemented.

In Linux , things that stop you writing to a file are permissions or unknown location.

I'm kinda having a hard time figuring out what's going on because saving and loading settings seems rather unpredictable.  I sometimes save settings and then reload them to have everything looking totally different, but since I'm not that familiar with the software and SDR, it's kinda hard for me to tell what parameters are causing the issue.  It almost looks to me like it's sometimes restoring the settings in the UI classes but not actually applying them to the SDR settings/waterfall display?  I'm not sure if that's really possible.

I'll keep playing with it and try to narrow down the problem.
