"edit settings" fails after install with "undefined symbol"

Hi, I installed gqrx on Ubuntu according to the instuctions (PPAs and all) but when I type "gqrx", I get a dialog asking if I want to open the settings dialog, and when I click yes, the program crashes. Here is what I see on the shell screen:
