How does Guide on the Side play with D2L?

Hello everyone! I'm one of the College of Nursing faculty interested in trying Guide on the Side with the Healthcare Technology course I teach. I'm also taking an instructional design course in which I'm working on a project that will allow me to due the lit search and project proposal for an embedded tutorial. 

Has anyone tried this with D2L?
